PTSD and Beyond Non-Profit Start-up Fundraiser

Mission: Our mission is to improve the lives of people affected by traumatic stress through an inclusive, global community of peers, practitioners, educators, researchers, and leaders while offering a supportive, safe space for sharing, learning and recovery.

Vision: Unite the world and together heal from trauma

We are crowdfunding to create and launch the non-profit, PTSD and Beyond.

Since 2018, PTSD and Beyond has grown from an idea to a globally recognized volunteer peer-support group on Twitter social media. Under the hashtag #PTSDandBeyond, our volunteer peer-support group has met for over 200 consecutive Mondays for one hour, beginning at 8 p.m. EST (we joke that the party sometimes continues up until midnight as our friends across the pond and beyond are just starting their day)!

For over 4 years, we’ve provided education, advocacy, support, and a safe space for people to come together to learn, share, grow, and heal; building a global community of people affected by PTSD ranking in the Top 3 Global Chats of Twitter. We’ve even hit #1 many times bumping out trending hashtags! In addition to the global PTSD and Beyond Twitter Chat, the PTSD and Beyond Podcast is heard in over 100 countries on all major and indie podcast platforms and recognized by Podcast Magazine’s Under the Radar and FeedSpot’s 25 Best PTSD Podcasts in 2022 AND 2023.

Our chat and podcast guests include people with lived-experience sharing their stories like in our 30 Stories in 30 Days bringing awareness to PTSD. From peers within our community, to celebrity advocates like Ms. Coco Peru, and our practitioner friends such as Dr. Bernie Siegel, Dr. Pamela Hall, Dr. Harry Stark, T. Wilton Dale, and many others….we indeed are stronger together. The healing comes from meeting people where they are, providing a safe space, and no one ever feels alone. We cry together, hear and listen, support, laugh, and celebrate together.

The PTSD and Beyond Community includes peers, practitioners, educators, researchers, and leaders; all committed to uniting and healing from trauma.

We are stronger together and now go beyond to grow a non-profit and expand our safe space for sharing, learning, and recovery.

This first round of funding is needed for basic start-up costs:

Filing Fees - $1700

UPS Box - $420

Technology (Software, Web-hosting, Platforms) - $2880

All donation amounts are welcomed and appreciated! Additional funds past our goal amount will be redirected to cover anticipated Round 2 funding for insurance, other technology, and development.

Each donor will be included in our Stronger Together Donor Wall and be part of our PTSD and Beyond website.
