PTSD Treatment for a widow with a young daughter

Donation protected
I’m raising funds to help a dear friend of mine who suffers from PTSD. Susan was diagnosed and been suffering from Complex PTSD since March 2013  when her unarmed husband was tragically shot and killed in front of her. His body was riddled with 7 bullets while standing on his front porch and his wife just steps away witnessing the events unfold. The traumatic loss of her husband left Susan a widow, to now raise a 3 year old daughter, Brooke, on her own.   To compound her profound grief, loss and trauma, Susan's only surviving parent, her mother, died from cancer just one month after her husband's death.  With no communication and help from her in-laws she's been left emotionally, physically and finically caring for herself and daughter.

Susan recently watched a segment on 60 Minutes which she brought to may attention.  It's a ground breaking PTSD treatment procedure called SGB (stellate ganglion block) that aired on 60 Minutes (June 16, 2019). CBS 60 Minutes PTSD SGB Segment This "game changing" block has been found to help Military Vets as well as others suffering from the symptoms of PTSD. In the segment you'll hear of tough and decorated Military Vets experience a relief from years of anxiety, depression and suicidal thoughts within 30 minutes of the injection!!  The success rate is staggeringly high at 80-90 percent! Please take 20 minutes to watch the segment, it's compelling and descriptive on the procedure and its lasting effects.

This urgent goal is to  raise enough funds to pay for the $2,000 procedure by a clinic, close to Susan in Miami called, PTSD Group . The procedure uses a local anesthetic injection deep into the neck to bathe a cluster of nerves called the stellate ganglion. The nerves help control the brain's fight or flight  response, signals that go haywire with PTSD. Doctors use a fluoroscope and contrasting dye, to guide the needle to the stellate ganglion. The injection numbs (blocks) the PTSD symptoms, with a relief/release in 30 minutes.  Vet's have been quoted to say they feel "as if a big weight has been lifted off my shoulders" .."it immediately changed their mood" One Vet's brother said he couldn't help but notice his brother constantly smiling on his way home from the clinic!!   There are no known side effects.  I'm also using the other portion of  funds, ($4,000)for on going trauma therapy, that is vital to her continued improvement.

Please help me help this wonderful woman and her daughter get a fresh start on life with this much needed procedure.  You can rest assured that your contribution will be properly distributed for Susan's health,  all funds raised will be tracked on this site by coped invoices of the procedure and the necessary treatments.

My need to raise these funds is urgent!! I've know this wonderful woman and her adorable daughter, Brooke for more than two years and have personally witness her go though severe triggered PTSD psychosis (fight or flight). As a loved one it's extremely unsettling to see her go though such episodes.   I honestly believe in SGB and feel it will be an instant relief for Susan.  She and Brooke have recently moved out of the area in which her husband was killed, a large step in the right direction to a new quality of life.

If you know anyone suffering from PTSD, depression, anxiety or thoughts of harming themselves please watch the 60 Minute clip in the hyper link I provided.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
