Boys to Men

We are a father and son team (Ben and Josh) bringing an online course to life in an app to shape young men in the image and likeness of God.

Over 15 years ago, my Dad (Ben) wrote a short 10 week course for us to do together. He called it, Boys to Men. Other cultures had different rites of passage that affirmed a boy becoming a man, but there wasn't anything available to initiate me into manhood. At the completion of the course I felt something had changed. My life had purpose, direction, and meaning. I learned that it was my mission to discover myself by giving myself as a gift - just as Christ had done for me.

Years later I suggested to Dad that we build the course so that more people can enjoy it, and other young men could experience true freedom in their lives. Since then, we have designed a graphic novel, reflections on Scripture, prayers, and activities. Our amazing illustrator, Diana, has also included gamified features to make the experience fun and accessible. These are all to enhance and encourage your journey towards God together.

Men only truly learn to be men from other men. In most cases, this has to begin at home. The relationship between fathers and sons, and the great exchange of Love between our Heavenly Father and Only Beloved Son is the very heart of transformation in our world. In Luke's Gospel, Zechariah says, "He will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah, ‘to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children,’ and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." By turning the hearts of fathers back to their sons, together with the grace of God, we can make ready a people prepared for our Lord.
