Public House Family Support
Donation protected
As many of you know, we are in the midst of a global health crisis. We know this pandemic has hit every household in this country, and most in the world, in severe ways. Given the severity of the news on Monday and the limitations of bodies allocated in public spaces, we elected to close both Coleman Public House and Maybank Public House. This decision was heartbreaking, but we feel it is in the best interest of the public health of our community. As a result, we laid off every employee at Maybank and Coleman Public Houses. These individuals are the finest we have ever worked with, they are our family, we want to do everything we can to keep them afloat. And they are members of the Mt. Pleasant and James Island communities. At the behest of members of these communities, we have opened this GoFundMe page. We know this is a difficult time for everyone, but if you have dough to spare...
Every cent will be distributed to displaced staff. We love these communities. We love the public house families. Our greatest joy has been owning and operating these restaurants over the past 10 years. We will re-open on the other side of this tragedy.
