Public Safety Dogs Missing Children

Tax deductible
Public Safety Dogs, Inc. (PSDI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.  Originally founded as Canines for Kids, Inc. in 2003 by Mike Craig and Linda Dunn, PSDI trains a variety of scent discriminating dogs for law enforcement.  These dogs are then donated, along with their equipment and their handler’s training to law enforcement agencies across the United States.

While the primary reason for training and donating these dogs is to help find missing children and dementia patients who wander away, they are also used by their agencies to trail and identify persons who have committed criminal acts.  Some dogs are cross-trained to locate narcotics or human remains so they can further assist the public that they serve.

Since 2003, these services have been provided on a shoestring budget by a very small group of individuals, none of whom has ever received financial compensation for their time or efforts.

The need for these types of dogs is great and PSDI is struggling financially to continue to provide the best dogs and training.  PSDI needs your help.  You’ve probably read some articles about missing persons who have been in the news lately.  For every case that gets wide-spread media coverage, there are hundreds of others that barely get a mention.  EVERY life is worth everyone’s best effort.  Chances of finding people who wander off are greatly increased by using properly trained scent discriminating dogs.

Please help us get more of these dogs in the hands of law enforcement by donating to PSDI’s efforts today!

Scooby and his handler Larry Zacarese made national news when they trailed two suspects from Brooklyn to Pennsylvania.  These suspects had shot two NYPD officers in Brooklyn and fled the area.

We are in DESPERATE need of new kennels/food for additional dogs which are in process of being euthanized as they need the room in the shelter the dogs are donated for this cause- We need to raise IMMEDIATELY $6500.00 in the next week+- It covers the following needs! Even if all of you pay $1 each it will do the trick and hopefully raise more....We all have children and loved ones and this is FINALLY a proven method needed so badly to save one more child...

Help me help this noble cause...I don't want to hear of more people missing or even passed-
