Florida Publix Shooting Victims Fund
On Thursday June 10th a horrific tragedy occured. A grandmother and her 23 month old grandson were shopping at the Publix Supermarket in Royal Palm Beach, FL. While in the produce section of the store, an unknown man approached the two and pulled out a gun and shot the young boy. The grandmother struggled with the man attempting to stop him but was thrown to the ground and then shot as well. The belief from authorities is that her heroic action of attempting to stop him allowed mulitple people in the store to run to safety, preventing what could have been an even worse tragedy from occuring. Unfortunately, both the woman and the child did not survive the shooting and this event has left a family devastated and grieving not one but two deaths that should have never happened!
The family is now preparing for two funeral services and burials as well as the many unexpected expenses that will need to be taken care of in the upcoming days, weeks and months.
Anything you can donate will help this amazing family that has been struck with such a horrible loss to begin the healing process.
The family will continue to remain private but I will be happy to pass on your condolences and prayers.
