Global Projects: Team India
You can help us make an impact on the lives of the Narikuravar community in India.
Working alongside the 30 indigenous families in Dharapuram, India, 9 engineering and social work students are collaborating with our university for a global development project in an under-served community.
Building foundations for 6 homes, the team seeks to provide permanent housing to meet the needs of the Narikuravar tribe. This will be done in collaboration with the community and a non-governmental organization in India to assess feasibility, impact, and sustainability.
Our mission is to design a project that is culturally fittings to improve the community’s quality of life. We do this in acknowledgement that regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, or religion we all deserve the opportunity to work towards a better future.
