Puerto Rico Environmental Sustainability Mission

After a year of challenges, I felt ready to push myself personally. In order to leave my comfort zone, explore different climates and cultures and help those in need while supporting something I am very passionate about, I booked a volunteer trip to Puerto Rico, January 10th-25th, 2021. My mission will be based on Environmental Sustainability, though my individual project will not be decided until I arrive. This could very from things such as gardening / harvesting crops, building / maintaining dams, wildlife conservation ect. I will be working through International Volunteer HeadQuarters, spending days working and evenings / weekends adventuring and learning! Thankfully, this organization has organized housing for me, though I have been responsible for travel , and will be responsible for my own meals, transportation and everything else. My fee to IVHQ is $1250. I have already begun to pay this, as well as purchased my ticket, insurance, background check and all the lovely fees that come with travel. My remaining balance is $950, plus any money I will need once I arrive (for meals, transportation ect.)
With my 20th birthday just around the corner, I wanted to make it an option for anyone who usually gifts me something, to make a small donation instead. 

PLEASE DO NOT FEEL LIKE YOU MUST DONATE. Several family members have asked about donating money instead of buying something, and I thought this would be the most organized way to do so. Thank you for your consideration. I expect this adventure to be nothing shy of life ch aging:)
