Loss

This is written with a heavy heart for the tragedy that has befell the Pugliese family and loved ones. After the recent passing of their great aunt Marian and grandfather Harry, the Pugliese’s also suffered the untimely loss of their son Josh H. Pugliese at the age of 38. Sadly, Josh passed suddenly from an unknown heart condition on Monday, December 10th. He is survived by the strength of his wife Heather, 4 year old daughter Reagan, and unborn daughter Dylan who is due in March.

Growing Up

Josh, a Marine Veteran, grew up in his home town of Nutley, NJ with his Father Nick, Mother Judy, and younger brothers William and Tyler. He was a role model, a mentor, and great son and brother to his loving family. As much as Josh loved working for a successful self made landscaping business and later Home Depot, he also enjoyed the fun aspects of life. Fishing with family, rooting for the NY Rangers and Giants, and many more are just a few examples of his passions. Fishing, football, and hockey are all Pugliese traditions passed down from their grandfather.

Starting a Family

Josh met the love of his life Heather in 2009 and they were married on October 7, 2012. On April 6, 2014 they welcomed their beautiful daughter Reagan Hailey into the world. Shortly after they moved to upstate NY. Josh was a family man in the truest sense. Always being there for his wife and daughter in every aspect. Josh loved spending time and going fishing with his brother Tyler. Not only were Tyler and Josh brothers, they were best friends. Josh was a man that anyone could look up to and strive to become. Exemplifying all the greatest qualities of a father passed down from previous generations. He worked hard for his family and loved them greatly.

Donation Purpose

The friends and loved ones to the Pugliese family decided to start this GoFundMe page for Josh’s wife and daughters. What adds even more sadness to this loss is that Josh’s wife Heather is currently 6 months pregnant with their unborn child Dylan Ryley. Losing a husband and a father is hard enough on a family as is, but for Heather to now be a single mother to Reagan and Dylan is a lot for anyone to go through. We ask that you kindly donate whatever you can to this cause to best help and support Heather and the Pugliese family through this time of grief. Heather will of course not be alone through this dark time and has support from friends and family, such as her sisters and Josh’s sisters in law Lauren & Jennifer Whitley. There is, however, never a maximum amount of support that someone struggling can receive. Together, with your donations, prayers, and support we can assist Josh’s family with any financial and emotional burdens that are often experienced at times like these.
