The Gillespie family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Anna and I am fundraising to help my family. We recently lost my Aunt Connie and not long before her, her husband of 63 years, Bob Gillespie. Both Connie and Bob were students at the University of Minnesota and met in the fall of 1955 at a Greek carnival where Connie Woodward was a member of Alpha Delta Pi and Bob Gillespie was a member of Delta Chi. They were working on a committee for the festival when a young campus reporter asked them to pose for a school newspaper picture. Their first meeting was caught on camera! Connie and Bob had a beautiful life together but in their elder years, money became very scarce. Connie and Bob have two daughters who are overwhelmed with loss and concerned about the many funerary costs. One cousin is currently unemployed because her previous job was to care for her mother and father, and the other is a teacher with three jobs working paycheck to paycheck.
Caroline and Susan need to pay for the medical bills, funerary expenses and the maintenance of the family home which fell into some disrepair over the last few difficult years.
Caroline and Susan were very close to Connie and Bob and they would like them to both have a burial and a service, ideally at Lakewood Cemetery in Minneapolis where other beloved family members are interred. Any donation that you could give would be greatly appreciated.
