Pulido-Martinez Family Recover after Eaton Canyon Fire

Some people may think it is silly but we always name our houses. CasaDena was more than a house to us, she was a reflection of who we are as a family. From the Pride Unicorn on the front lawn to the living room full of things we collected over the years (aka, our museum). CasaDena was full of laughter, color, anger, sadness, like any member of the lively crew that called her home.
Unfortunately, after 78 years, she was a victim of the Eaton Canyon Fire on January 8, 2025, and was reduced to ashes. We lost everything in the fire except a few items we were able to save in the dark of night, accented by a ominous orange glow. We have been putting our love and labor into CasaDena for a long time and it was finally starting to feel like our dream home, so as you can imagine we are heartbroken and feeling lost.
It is really hard for us to be in a position to ask for help because we are much more comfortable providing help to others. But for the first time ever, we are in over our heads and need to lean into the entire community of love and support we have built over the last 24 years as a family. We have already been overwhelmed by the phone calls, text, and unsolicited offers of support. We also know that we are going to need a lot more to help in the next few years.
We know that not everyone can contribute, nor do we expect anyone to, but on behalf of Craig, Chris, Bella, George, and our fur babies, Luna & Ginger, we thank you for your love and support.
