#PullingForKyle

Donation protected
Kyle has been diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T-ALL).
He’s a kind hearted farmer at heart, tractor fanatic, fisherman, artist and an aspiring professional tractor puller! He is 9 years old and a 4th grader at Shell Rock Elementary School. Kyle has an amazing older brother, Clayton, a best friend named “Goldie” (golden retriever), and some pretty incredible parents, Keith and Anita.

Kyle’s cancer is an aggressive (fast-growing) type of leukemia (blood cancer) in which too many T-cell lymphoblasts (immature white blood cells) are found in the bone marrow and blood.

It started a few weeks ago as cold and flu symptoms, he was also treated for strep, but he just wasn't improving. He was taken to the hospital on Wednesday to find answers and by Thursday morning he was taken by ambulance to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
Shortly after meeting with his medical team about his diagnosis and treatment plan, he went into surgery to place 2 ports. One was surgically placed in his chest to administer chemotherapy and other medications, and another was placed in his neck in case he needs dialysis. He had to receive steroids before chemo could be started.
The doctors are pleased with his bloodwork and said it was an early diagnosis!

The Kramer's will be in Iowa City for about 8 days for this round of treatment. There is a long 2.5 year road ahead of them but Kyle is already proving to be stronger than we could ever be in this situation!

So many people are asking how you can help...
We have started placing Orange Ribbons around town and our homes to show Leukemia awareness. We would love to see the town COVERED in orange and can't wait for them to drive through and see how our amazing little small-town community has come together to show our love for Kyle.

You can show your support here on GoFundMe with supportive comments, funny stories or donations. We just appreciate that you're here reading this!

Gift Cards: there will be a lot of expenses for traveling, lodging, gas, and food.

A T-Shirt Fundraiser is being developed and we'll post here when it's available!

We will start a MealTrain sign up once they get home and have an idea of their upcoming schedule.

Care Packages for the entire family! Favorite snacks, drinks, games, books, blankets, legos, UNO, Goldfish crackers :)

Send Kyle a card in the hospital! <-- Click this link to direct you to the hospital website to write a special message to Kyle. It will be printed and delivered by their amazing volunteers.

Please keep in mind that they have to be VERY careful with germs. Since Kyle's blood cells do not mature correctly and cannot fight infection, visitors will be very limited. FaceTime or videochat will be a blessing to keep spirits high!
