Punk Rock & Paint Brushes to rebuild

Our good friend Emily Nielsen started up Punk Rock and Paint Brushes 10 years ago in 2014.

The business was built because of a combination of her love of music and art and she engaging all her musician friends who also love to create art.

Emily has traveled the world with Punk Rock and Paint Brushes, often driving for many hours to exhibit these artworks at various festivals, setting up and packing down and donating some of the money raised to help various causes. She is passionate, hard-working and totally dedicated, which has made her a very much loved and respected member of the music and art community.

The team were set up at a festival in Denver over the weekend and suddenly, totally out of the blue, there was a hail storm that came in very fast and destroyed about 90% of the art works. A lot of originals were destroyed and also most of the prints. It was devastating to watch, particularly as these are originals that cannot be replaced. The artists poured their hearts and souls into these artworks so to watch that happen was heartbreaking.

Emily is very thankful to the community that pulled together to help out and she wholeheartedly thanks everyone for their selfless efforts.

Punk Rock and Paint Brushes is an organization that works directly with artists and art collectors but also works with & creates awareness to a variety of non profits such as Musink, musiccares, Sidewalk Project, Claddagh Fund, Super Skate Posse and more.

In the hope to recreate what was lost and damaged, move forward and build back up, Kate & Emma (close friends of Emily's) have created this go fund me page and anything you can give would be much appreciated. The funds raised will go to artists to rebuild their art, it would help them with the cost of their art materials, and help with our printing costs too, as well as replacing equipment that was destroyed.
