Pupcakes Rescue New Sanctuary Dog Kennel Block
Donation protected
Pupcakes Rescue is a specialist rescue based in Boston, Lincolnshire. They are one of a few rescues within the UK that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs with complex behavioural issues and bite histories.
However, despite best intentions, it is not always appropriate for some of the dogs that come in to their care to find a forever home beyond the rescue.
There are a multitude of reasons why this might happen, for example; a bite history a level 4 and above, behavioural issues or medical conditions that require more specialised care. If this is the case, a dog will become a Sanctuary Dog and a permanent resident at the rescue, as they are non-destruct. They currently have 11 Sanctuary dogs, of various breeds and ages.
With the increase in demand for the rescue’s expertise and a growing number of sanctuary dogs calling Pupcakes their permanent home, the rescue is desperately in need of a new dedicated kennel space for their sanctuary dogs. The rescue have the opportunity to purchase a kennel block that would serve this purpose, as well as providing them with additional benefits.
This block would:
Provide much needed additional space for the sanctuary dogs at Pupcakes HQ, as the kennels are bigger.
Provide the rescue with a dedicated food preparation space away from the dogs, as it has a separate feed room.
✏️ Enable the rescue to reconfigure their existing kennel block to better utilise the space.
As a non-profit organisation, the rescue does not have the reserves to be able to buy the kennel block outright, and so they are fundraising to make this dream a reality.
The addition of this kennel block would allow Pupcakes to continue to support vulnerable dogs at risk of euthanasia. They would be incredibly grateful for any and all support towards this endeavour
