Puppy Apocalypse at Joe Joe’s Place!!!

Joe Joe’s Place is a small, foster based rescue in Medford, NJ. We are known for taking in unadoptable animals as well as puppies and dogs. We have many special needs, senior and hospice dogs in our Sanctuary home right at this moment.

On Wednesday, May 16, JJP brought in a litter of lab mix puppies from WV. These puppies were an owner surrender to one of our rescue partners. The rescue sent them to us to find them the perfect family.

In honor of the Royal Wedding, we gave them Regal names Diana, Anne, Alexandria, Elizabeth, Philip and Louis. Of course they are cute, adorable and loving.

On Sunday, May 20, Diana suddenly became very ill. The JJP foster family rushed her to Mt Laurel Animal Hospital. She was immediately admitted to ICU/isolation. Diana was in critical condition suffering from Parvovirus!! 5 days later Diana has responded well to treatment and should be released soon. The cost for saving her life is $8000!!

After we thought we were out of the woods, the other siblings have become ill! They are being treated at Mt Laurel Animal Hospital under the direction of critical care veterinarian Dr Reid Groman. If the other puppies are as sick as Diana, that will add an additional $48,000 to our outstanding veterinary bill of $15,000.

We are crying, begging, groveling for help! We need to raise $50,000 to cover the expenses of saving this litter of puppies. It is CRITICAL! If we cannot raise the money, the “little rescue that could (and does)” will be forced to close our doors. We will be unable to continue our mission of saving the needy if we can’t raise enough money.

PLEASE HELP!!
