Puppy Taco's Family Needs Your Help

I’ve created this fundraiser to help pay medical costs for a Golden Retriever Puppy named Taco.

Puppy Taco was born on May 16, 2023. He was a beautiful puppy full of mischievous puppy energy and lots of love. He enjoyed romping indoors and outside with his family – both canine and human. There was no doubt he was destined to be the perfect addition to a family looking to include a new pet in their busy lives.

As it turned out, through word of mouth, the right family quickly came along. A mom, dad and young daughter were anxious to add Puppy Taco to their family. Their young daughter had saved her money to contribute to the cost of caring for Puppy Taco and was thrilled to take him home when he was nine weeks old.

Puppy Taco was in his home for 5 days when a tragic accident occurred. His family realized he was in respiratory distress and rushed him to the local Veterinary Emergency Hospital.

Puppy Taco was assessed and immediately placed on a ventilator. The family considered the updates they received from the veterinary team and waited for good news. Still on the ventilator after 24 hours, they were told attempts to wean Puppy Taco off the ventilator had not been successful - he was not able to breathe on his own. Puppy Taco’s family continued to hope and pray for a positive outcome.

After 48 hours in The Veterinary Emergency Hospital, the family received a gut-wrenching call. The emergency veterinarians did everything possible to help Puppy Taco, but they could not save his life.

Puppy Taco, died on July 24, 2023 – he was just shy of 10 weeks old.

While no amount of money will heal their broken hearts, I want to raise funds to help relieve some of the financial burden Puppy Taco’s family is experiencing during this tragic time. Any amount you can donate would help.
