PUPPYPALOOZA - Giving Tuesday Match
Tax deductible
Pup Squad has always been all about puppies and their mommas and right now we are swimming in puppies (Yay!... and also $$$)
In the past several weeks, thanks to the generosity of fosters who opened their homes, we were able to say YES to quite a crew.
11 Husky Mix babies found abandoned at a construction site. 11 puppies so young their eyes didn't open for another week - all alone in a carboard box. Sadly, two pups were lost early on, but 9 are thriving thanks to some very dedicated fosters - the two women who took in ELEVEN one week-old puppies and bottle fed them around the clock. Another open-hearted couple scooped up a fading puppy and took her to the emergency vet (at their expense) and nursed her back to health. Now the pups are a little older and a few more generous fosters have stepped forward to take some of the pups (even though they have scabies). As you can imagine on top of the normal 'healthy' puppy expenses (vaccines, spay/neuter surgeries, de-wormer) these medical expenses are adding up.
One sweet momma dog + 7 puppies This is the story of a stray rescued off the street who presented her rescuer with 7 babies two months after the rescue. It's the story of another individual who said YES and gave momma a safe place to have and raise her babies. Pup Squad is happy to have been able to support this person, who despite being in a tough spot themselves opened their heart (and home). And we're grateful to the fosters who have stepped in to help this family now that the pups are ready for the next step in their journey and who have made room for momma to recover and get ready for her own happily ever after,
Mangey Margo Recently, a pair of rescuers who focus on rehabbing challenging dogs, were driving to the vet and spotted a small, almost bald puppy on the side of a busy road. Unlike the other cars, they didn't drive past, they stopped. And the frightened pup promptly ran into a drainpipe. After crawling in after her, they were able to get her out and took her to the vet with them. Despite more than having their hands already full, they couldn't turn a blind eye. Pup Squad was happy to say YES and take Margo into the program. Following her 14-day quarantine, Margo was able to move to a Pup Squad foster.
Now we need your help. For these and all the pups we have now and who will enter the program in the future. Donate today and help us continue to get puppies and their mommas healthy and placed into loving homes.
