Purchase camera equipment to kickstart my business

Hey! If you don't know me, I'm Elliot- a cinematographer, editor, animator and photographer from the city of Portsmouth.

I've been working freelance for the last 3 years, having created a limited company last year during the midst of my degree. I always aim to keep my pricing fair for clients, as I believe in making the media industry as accessible to as many as possible- small or big, public or private.

This past year has been particularly difficult and intense as I have just successfully completed my 3rd and final year of University, whilst having had my case closed by the local authority. I was raised in foster care throughout my childhood, but now after turning 25, this support has finished. On top of that, I recently moved house, lost 3 months of work time to focus on my final projects, and dealt with the standard difficulties relating to family matters.

Being frank, this campaign, my career and business mean a lot to me. There have been a lot of issues as of late with my current equipment (most of which is about 3 years old!) and I'm certain things will break, due to how bulky and old my camera gear is.

Please help support me- both in getting the camera, but also in achieving my goal and sustaining a business that has the potential to make media accessible. Your support would mean I can sustain my current pricing and reduce the constraint on clients, as well as minimising the general anxiety around a shoot day getting cancelled as a result of this ageing gear. Funds will go directly towards the purchase of the camera- the goal is set to £5,000 as it would cover the purchase of a second-hand device, as well as a lens due to the camera not coming with a stock lens.
