Rockford Fire Dept. Relief Association Body Armor

Hi, my name is David Angell. I am the Fire Chief of the Rockford Fire Department in Rockford Minnesota. On behalf of the Rockford Fire Dept. Relief Association, we are fundraising to purchase body armor to be used by Rockford Fire Department members.

It's unfortunate that this needs to be asked but it is necessary in today's world. We are looking at purchasing 10 sets of body armor to outfit a couple of our trucks with needed protection to be available should our first responders need to wear it.

More and more times today we are hearing of firefighters and first responders being shot or stabbed while on a scene. Whether it be a domestic call where someone was injured or even a drug overdose, we never know what we are walking in to.

I am asking for your help to outfit these trucks with the body armor to keep our members safe so they may continue to serve our community.

Any leftover funds may be used to purchase more sets of body armor or other misc. safety items.
