We have set up this ‘broad’ Fundraiser for Purely For Dogs to enable donations to be made easily and with security. From time to time we will run a fundraiser for a specific bad case but we do try not to be asking for help regularly, we understand there are many other rescues out there and lives and times are difficult for all. But the facility is here in this link if anyone wishes to help the mad ‘family’ of the Purely dogs.
For those who don’t know us Purely For Dogs is a small rural rescue in the mountains of Malaga Spain.
We primarily set up to help save and rehabilitate dogs abandoned or who have possibly lived all their lives as strays on the riverbed in the Campanillas/Almogia area of Malaga Spain. As with all good plans, they do have to 'bend' a little and puppies have been thrown over the fence and some dogs rescued from other areas too.
All dogs and puppies are cared for in the Purely For Dogs home and kennels on site, keeping the personal touch and ensuring when a dog is ready for rehoming the prospective adopter knows the true character and nature of the dog or puppy first-hand. Our kennels have sofas, heating, fans, radios, play areas, shade, rugs and an abundance of toys.
Working with two local vets medical care and advice is always on hand if needed, and the dogs are prepared for travel, vaccinated and neutered depending on their age ready to start new lives. For those who never find homes they live their lives in our home as part of one big dog ‘family’. For some they remain here as they have never been a ‘chosen one’ for others they have medical conditions or characters that mean adoption is just about impossible, we also have some who are elderly and we have chosen to take them into the Purely family to allow them to live their retirement years with us rather than have to endure time in a pound.
There are always some of them needing vet care, maintenance of medical conditions and of course as is normal life - illness, ageing conditions, other issues and accidents occur that we need to make sure the best treatment and care is given … love comes as standard!
