Purple Fund for Ayah’s Presence at the SCP Farm

My dearest beloved Ayah Buonaugurio passed away suddenly on the full moon of February. I am looking for your support to make a living dedication to her on the Santa Cruz Permaculture farm (https://santacruzpermaculture.com/farm/).

PURPLE

Anyone who knows Ayah knows that she's a purple goddess. Over the coming year, we'll be planting purple in a big way on the farm in her honor. Purple Dahlias, like I gave her for her birthday; California Elderberry that she made into medicine and was so happy about this summer; Lavender, Larkspur, Violets, and more. Additionally, purple will be a prominent theme in our buildings and we already have 7 acres of blackberries and olallieberries - purple fruit - and Ayah sure did delight on those every time we were there.

SACRED PLANTS

We spent a lot of time together growing, harvesting, and braiding sweetgrass together as a living symbol of our unity. We will grow sweetgrass, sage, cedar, artemisia, rattle gourds, nicotiana, moonflower, and so many more sacred and healing plants. The gift of Ayah's healing medicine lives on.

PLANTING

Once we have the plants and are ready to put them in the ground, we will let you know so we can plant them together ceremonially. Some will be planted in the dormant season of winter, while others will be planted in spring.

The farm is important to Ayah and I appreciate your support in creating this remembrance of her. I'm doing this for Ayah and her family and your support makes it happen in a good way, with more ease and grace, and with the collaborative spirit that Ayah stands for.
