Push for Families in Need

What's the cause:
Recently, I went on a run in Dublin, down Grafton Street, up the Liffey and through Temple Bar. It was an eerie experience going through the busiest streets of Ireland that now feel like a deserted ghost town. There was, however, one group of people who weren't home in lock-down. They stood out more than ever against the stark background of the empty streets. You can probably guess who I'm talking about. If you're thinking the homeless, you're right.
I couldn't stop thinking about them when I got home, and how vulnerable and isolated they are especially in this time. There are also many low-income families with kids in emergency accommodations. In the best of times they can get food from affordable restaurants, but now many shops are closed and basic necessities aren't as accessible to them.
Where the funds will go:
So I reached out to ICHH, Inner City Helping Homeless. One of the things ICHH does is provide weekly food parcels to families in emergency accommodations in Dublin. I found out that the amount of people trying to access ICHH services has risen five-fold over the last few weeks. Every day, ICHH has been providing up to 1200 meals to people and 500 food parcels to families. They've been working hard throughout covid-19 where others have closed and they're just an incredible group of volunteers and human beings working 15-16 hour days to take care of the most vulnerable populations here. 100% of the funds raised from this endeavor will go specifically to help families in emergency accommodations.
Who will support:
I brought this up with my amazing colleagues at SoapBox Labs, and the company has generously pledged to match whatever the employees fund-raise over the course of next week with all proceeds going to ICHH Families, so every dollar/euro will go twice as far! I think it's amazing that we as a Dublin-based company are doing something corporately to lend a hand to the local families around us who are most in need, and this is a wonderful opportunity to get involved.
What you will get:
This fundraiser is called "PUSH for Families in Need" because for a limited time only, I will do push ups for YOU for the families in Dublin. Below, you'll see a menu of the different types of push ups you can make me do depending on the amount you donate. At the end of each day, I'll tally the totals and post a video of me doing the requested pushups. You will get the joy that is the reserved lot for cheerful givers, and the assurance that your money is going straight to necessities for needy families. You will also get the pleasure of watching a tiny but mighty Asian girl do push-ups on your command, although I hope you'd consider the former gain to outweigh the latter :)
That's it guys, thank you so much for reading and for caring. The people of Dublin thanks you. Hope you are all well, safe, and staying at home (if you can).
Love,
Agape
