Push Out Brain Cancer - Push-Up Challenge

Hello everyone,

I'm Drew West, the proud owner of Total Nutrition Houston. My journey to Houston wasn't just about starting a business; it was about embracing a city full of opportunity and surrounded by a network of lifelong friends, particularly those I met through rugby. These friends have been my pillars of support through thick and thin, shaping not just my business but also my personal journey.

This year, however, our tight-knit community was rocked by devastating news. My dear friend Chris, with whom I've shared the rugby field for two decades, was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of 36. Chris embodies resilience and strength; he's the epitome of health and vitality, dedicated to his fitness and well-being. Yet, one day, he collapsed in the gym, leading to a series of tests that unveiled a brain tumor the size of a "cricket ball," as he described it.

Since then, Chris has undergone a craniotomy to remove the tumor, and he's now undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. I've witnessed his fighting spirit firsthand, both on and off the rugby field. He's not just a teammate; he's a brother in arms, and I'm committed to standing by his side in this battle against brain cancer.

In honor of Chris and all those affected by this devastating disease, Total Nutrition Houston is partnering with the Broach Foundation to raise funds and awareness for Brain Cancer Awareness Month this May. We're calling on our community to join us in solidarity by participating in "Push Out Brain Cancer," a campaign to raise awareness and support for brain cancer research.

Throughout May, let's come together to show our support, spread awareness, and honor the fighters like Chris who inspire us with their courage and resilience. Together, let's go gray in May and make a difference in the fight against brain cancer.
