Put a smile on CJs face when he wakes up from Heart Surgery!

Good Morning Lovely Humans!!!

I am putting this together to bring a smile to the face of a young man who is very loved by myself and so many others!!

Young Mr Christian James, who, as I write this is under the knife at the royal Melbourne hospital having his sternum cracked open, and put on bypass where surgeons will remove a valve from his heart and replace it with a mechanical one due to his own valve failing him.

This is CJs 4th open heart surgery, at just 18 years old following years of repairs and a replacement he has been left with no option but to undergo this life altering operation that will, from this day forward impact on how he is able to live. We are beyond greatful to live in a country where we have access to such amazing medical care and teams to be able to save his life with this operation.

When Christian visited me the other night, and we spent hours going through the motions of what this all ment, the ups and downs and the anxiety's of undergoing such a major operation as well as the long term effects this will have on how he is able to live and the restrictions this will place on him - I asked him, if there was 1 thing we could do for him - what would it be, and Christian replied with "start a go-fund-me so I can live my dream of going to America", now as you can see from the requested amount - I am certainly not raising funds for a trip to America! I told him that was a bit far fetched and after all, we have so much to be great full for already having access to this life saving operation.

So second best, as all who know Christian are aware - he is a huge horror fan and there is a particular piece of memorabilia he has had his heart set on and has been working hard to save for.

So my intention with this fundraiser is to get as close to that as we can, and when CJ wakes up in the ICU, he can read this - and see all the people who love and care about him, who couldn't live without him and are so bloody proud of him and that it will put a huge smile on his face!!!
