Put a smile on the faces of children from war zone

send 200 children to school for 3 years, 2020-2023

 For the past 4 years and running Cameroon has been going through a civil war that has killed tens of thousands of people including women and children in the two English speaking regions of the country. More than one million people have so far fled into the French speaking regions and are thus internally displaced persons (IDPs), while many more have fled to neighboring countries like Nigeria, Gabon, CAR, etc as refugees.

Center For the Needy and Vulnerable(CEFONEV ) was created to this effect, as we realized many were homeless, children were out of school and juvenile delinquency was on the rise, young girls sort to prostitution as a means of survival and the  women who were peasant farmars left their farms back home and became jobless in the big cities. CEFONEV was born in 2017 and has as objective to shelter, feed, provide health care services and other needs for the vulnerable women and children. The women are trained on income generating activities (hand made products) for sustenance and self-reliance, while the children are sent to school to curb out juvenile delinquency and to stop prostitution which is common to girls.

Our goal for 2020/2023 academic years is to send 200 children to school for 3 years. We equally  have training programs to train 60 women within 3 months to empower them. 

To conclude, it is importance to note that education is a priceless gift that can be given to a child. The children in the streets are our responsibility and they need our attention. We call upon everyone reading this message to know that, no amount of money is too small or too much to put a smile on the faces of these children. They are our hope for a better tomorrow.
