Putu's business start-up
Donation protected
In 2018, I went on a trip with my sister Vanessa and friend Katelyn to Bali. We stayed the first couple nights at an awesome Villa who employed Putu as their driver. Putu picked us up from the airport and we immediately hit it off. We hired Putu for a couple day trips, where he drove us around for 8 hours, showing us all the local eateries and art galleries/shops. We had the best time! He is the the funniest and kindest man. He has a wife and two kids and they live together in Ubud.
Putu relies on tourism to make money. Since COVID and the lockdown, he has been out of work and he has been stressed trying to support his family. It is customary for people in Bali to make just dollars a day.
Since March, we have sent him money here and there to help him provide food for his family or help pay his son's tuition for school. He was hoping Bali would open up for tourism in September, but now that is not happening.
He wants to start his own Laundry business and is in need of $800 dollars to buy the machines. I know that if we all come together, we can provide this for Putu! He is such a hard worker and would benefit so much from our help. Please donate whatever you can. Even if you give up your daily coffee and donate 7 bucks, you'll know that money is going SO far for Putu!
Thank you for your consideration! Let's help those less fortunate who are hit so hard.
With love,
Cheree
