Keane Family Support

In 2005 my sister married the love of her life, Tom. For those of you who don’t know Tom, he is an elementary school educator, varsity high school basketball coach but most importantly, my sister’s better half (sorry Danielle, it’s true.) Over the past fifteen years, they have built a beautiful life together with their four children—Mara (13), Kellen (10) , and twins Declan and Ruairi (9).

A few days before Christmas, we received devastating news—my brother in law was diagnosed with colon cancer. Tomorrow afternoon he is beginning his fight against this disease by having a colectomy at BWH. I am confident in the team at Dana Farber and BWH behind his treatment. Coupled with Tom’s great attitude, I know he will kick this disease’s ass.

I am asking for donations on their behalf  to help offset any unexpected financial burden of treatment,  and prolonged recovery time. No young family should be faced with this fight. Both Tom and Danielle raise money for charities close to them every year. My sister has run many times in support of Dana Farber, and I believe it’s their time to be on the receiving end of amazing care. Any support is greatly appreciated,  and if you are unable to make a monetary donation, I ask everyone to offer up prayers for the Keane Family. I am confident love, support and prayer will bring health in 2020.
