Memorial Fund of Joseph Felix

My name is Brooke Yarbrough; Joseph E. Felix (53) was mine and my brother Sean's (18) beloved step-father, the father of my two youngest siblings Kayla (11) and Devon (10) Felix, and a loving husband to my mother Dena E. Felix. My mom and Joe married on March 20th of 2010 in Charleston, Oregon. Joe was loved by all of us so dearly because of the unconditional, endless amount of love he had for all of us. With his absence there will forever be a void in our heart, a smile missing in our photographs, and a laughter forever missed in our home. It is unknown of the exact time of his passing but we do know that while in Haiti serving for the United Nations with only five days left to complete his mission, Joe, our father and loving husband to our mom, passed away after suffering a heart attack. Joe had been complaining of chest pains for several weeks and was scheduled to see the family doctor upon arrival in the United States. Unfortunately, our time with him was cut too short and he will not be returning home full of hugs, smiles and laughter like we were awaiting. Instead, he now soars high above us, deep in our souls and we cherish the memories we have close to our hearts. Since we lost our dad outside of the United States, our mom is financially responsible for his return to the US as well as his Memorial Services. We were asked by some of the friends Joe had made while away in Haiti to set up a Go Fund Me account to help relieve some stress for our mom and allow her to grieve without stress of these financial burdens.
