Pye Nest Nursery Defibrillator Fundraiser!

This is something that is close to all our staff’ hearts and can effect anyone anytime of any age. Because of this we are aiming to have a defibrillator installed outside of the nursery for the public to use.

One of our fundraising challenges is going to include

5 members of the Pye Nest team are taking on the challenge of walking the Yorkshire 3 peaks within 12 hours on the 9th March 2024.

A defibrillator is a device that gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest and can be the difference between life and death.

Having a defibrillator nearby is important because they substantially increase the patient’s chance of survival during a cardiac arrest. When a person suffers from sudden cardiac arrest, their chance of survival decreases by 7-10% for each minute that passes without defibrillation.

Defibrillators cost up to £2000, so any donations that can be made are appreciated to help our community. ❤️❤️
