City Year - Pyle MS

City Year is an organization that believes that in high-poverty communities external factors are the main obstacles students’ face that interfere with their ability to learn and achieve their full potential. To bridge this gap City Year takes a holistic approach, called the Whole School Whole Child. For which they select highly trained young adult to provide individualized support to at-risk students through a positive learning environment in the schools throughout America that need us the most. We at Pyle agree that the main reasons for poor academic success take place outside of the school. Our school believes in order for change to happen that in schools the cycle of poverty needs and the whole child needs to be addressed and this organization is committed to that cause.
