SAN JOSE COMMUNITY MEMBER IN TROUBLE; DETAINED IN GEORGIA WITHOUT BAIL ON MARIJUANA CHARGES

A San Jose community member, local organizer and tireless activist has been detained on marijuana charges while traveling out of state. She is a young Black woman currently being held WITHOUT BAIL in Georgia, a state incredibly harsh and regressive sentencing policies for cannabis-related charges. She was arrested and held as of last Thursday without access to clean water and is currently at risk of further mistreatment as a an Black woman being detained in an unfamiliar state. The situation is dire as she is facing jail time and is in need of a good lawyer to defend her case. PLEASE DONATE TO OUR RESOURCE FUND so that we retain a lawyer to fight to bring her home.
