In Loving Memory of Michael Chang, Family Support

Unfortunately, life is not always fair and tragedy found its way in a most unexpected way. On May 24, 2024, (my brother) Michael Chang's life was cut short while he was working as a tour operator to Niagara Falls, in a tragic car incident on the Garden City Skyway Bridge. Michael is leaving behind many families and friends, including his loving wife Vita, and his two wonderful children, a young girl (10 years old) and a young boy (9 years old). He was only 48 years old.

Michael was loving and full of life, and always put a smile on everyone's face. He was selfless and was always there for his friends and his family. He was a simple hardworking man, who worked as a tour operator and, as a second job, helped with his elderly mother's humble convenience store. He was the pillar of his family, making it his life goal to take care of them. His family is completely devastated by his loss.

Michael's kids are his pride and joy and he had great dreams for his children, including to excel in their education. Though nothing can bring Michael back, nor ease the pain and agony of what his family and friends are going through, with some help, we, the friends and family of Michael, can continue to help fulfil Michael's dream, including to give his kids a brighter future, including for higher education. We are setting up a GoFundMe to support the family, specifically Yue Ma, my sister in-law with the financial burdens that she may face. We would like to thank anyone in advance for their generosity, and greatly appreciate any donations to help them through this extraordinarily difficult time. Yue Ma will be the beneficiary of this fund, and she plan to save these generous donation for her and Michael's kids' future education and well being.
