I have started a GoFundMe page for Jesse Greeno who grew up in Lumby, BC and now resides in Vernon BC. He is also my sisters boyfriend & best friend.
On the afternoon of July 14th, Jesse was involved in a serious highway collision near Lumby with his motorcycle - just outside of Vernon.
He was transported to Kelowna General Hospital (KGH) and has gone through one major surgery (additional surgeries are expected) to try and repair/save his leg. He lost his foot in the accident & now faces the high possibility of amputation from below the knee.
The last thing anyone wants to worry about is financial stress during a traumatic time like this. There is a long journey ahead with Risa as his caregiver and Jesse being unable to work at this time.
Jesse and my sister Risa love to be active and outdoors. Their time together is spent at their favourite gym Fitness West, snowboarding at SilverStar, sledding, biking and surfing. This is an extremely hard time and they have a long road ahead of them. Between hotels, food, basic living expenses and not being able to work, and having to move within 20 days to a one level home, the financial stress is something I wish I can take away from my sister and her loved one. Any bit of help would be appreciated and both families would be forever grateful during this hard time.
We are so thankful he is alive and here with us & he is in good spirits. If you know Jesse you already know he’s cracking jokes and ready to take this life changing injury on and get through it with his best friend. Please pray for his road to recovery and we thank you all for your support and positive thoughts.
