Bailey’s Fight for Life
Donation protected
Hi everyone, this is Bailey “Bear” one of the sweetest girls.
The parents to this beautiful baby are my son George’s godmother and godfather who he loves so much as we do.
And that is why I am putting this out there. We need lots of prayers for their baby Bailey because a few weeks ago things just started turning for the worst. All started with just jumping off the bed and breaking a nail. She was immediately treated very thoroughly with antibiotics, fresh bandaging every day, started looking better and healing. Then she was due for regular vaccines, and since she had healed from her injury, they decided to get her vaccinations done not thinking anything of it. Which why would you? You’re not the vet. Vet administered a vaccine in the right front arm where her injury just had happened. Bailey was fine; no signs of anything. She was brought home, but the next day when she woke up she wasn’t able to put any weight on her leg so immediately the vet was called. There is history with that leg. When Bailey was about 10 months old she was diagnosed with Osteomyelitis. Which was about 5 years ago. Jenny and Nick brought her to be treated at that time at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. It was pretty rough, but she was able to heal very well. So the big question is, has it all come back again? After taking X-Rays at another vet, and two opinions leading to the same diagnosis, Bailey was immediately taken to the AMC where now they examine her and are once again confirming one of the worst things you can hear as a dog owner/lover.
Suspected bone cancer. The first step is her leg must be amputated. Testing will be done during the procedure to identify the prognosis , and determine the treatment needed such as radiation.
This is one of the hardest decisions for my dearest friends and family to make. It’s also coming with a lot of costs. So I am reaching out for some love and support, and help raising money so Bailey can get the testing she needs done and can live a beautiful long life that she deserves.
Please if you can help make a donation and/or share this post to help this lovely girl. Thank you and please pray for Bailey, her amazing, loving owners, Nick and Jenny Hondros who we love so deeply. Thank you again for reading and listening.
