Scholarships for immigrant students
Tax deductible
As the new school year approaches, the Latino Racial Justice Circle is raising funds for our educational scholarship fund. This money is used to provide financial assistance to immigrant college students in the Baltimore area who do not qualify for other forms of tuition assistance or loans due to their immigration status. Additionally, although these students are all residents of Maryland, they are often required to pay the much higher international student tuition rate because of their immigration status, posing an additional financial burden.
We will use the money raised in this campaign to assist immigrant students with tuition, textbooks, and other materials required for college success. The LRJC will also provide school supplies to Latino children attending public schools in Baltimore. Please consider donating to this fund to give immigrant students in our community the chance to get an education and move ahead.
In addition to this online campaign, we are also hosting a fundraiser event on Friday August 12th from 5-9pm at Blue Pit BBQ (1601 Union Avenue, Baltimore MD 21211). Please join us!
