Justice for Jeremy

Jeremy was a Marine for almost 20 years and a Police Officer for 4 years. He was killed in the line of duty in 2011 when a man asking for Jeremy’s help shot him in the face. Jeremy designated his Life Insurance to our parents to ensure they would benefit in some way, even though he was gone. On Friday, May 20th, my family found out that his life insurance, along with my parent’s entire estate, was stolen by a man named Chris Pettit. We all trusted Chris Pettit for over 14 years. I remember sitting with Chris Pettit in 2011 after Jer was killed and bawling my eyes out. This man had the audacity to look me and my parents in the eyes and tell us, despite our pain, he would ensure the money Jer set aside if he was ever killed in action, would be protected. I’m truly heartbroken and feeling disgusted that this man could do this to our family after everything we have been through, including losing my Mom in January. Justice for Jeremy is what this fundraiser is all about. My hope is that our family can get his life insurance back, even though far more was stolen. His life insurance for his Marine service of almost 20 years, and his cop service for 4 years, was over $700,000. My Mom's insurance was over $300,000. My parent's life savings was well over $1,000,000 on top of this. They were dedicated doctors for over 30 years in San Antonio. Chris Pettit and his associates stole all of this money.
