BAMBI'S BATTLE

Hi, my name is Mary Conway. Myself and Jennifer Sparks are raising money for Bambi Adams.

Bambi's story is one of strength, hard work, love and a lot of laughter. Nearly every single thing she does is to help someone or make their life easier in some way. I literally know of no one as selfless as she is. She radiates fierceness. If you've ever crossed her, you know that quick-witted, smart, honest, straightforward, no arguing with "Bam" that she is known for. I call her "Bam" for one reason. She loves with the same fierceness. She has faced much in her life. Hard things, Heartbreaking things. Yet nothing dampens her spirit. Nothing. Cancer is no different. Her diagnosis of stage 4 melanoma came out of the clear blue sky, unexpected and unwelcome. She has things to do... a senior daughter, a daughter beginning a new career, a son with a new baby boy. She has ballgames, graduations, weddings, and birthdays to attend. There is no doubt that she will be at all of them. That being said, cancer is expensive. There are days that she is not able to work, though we know that if she can drag herself from her bed, she will go because she loves it that much. She is not asking for help. That goes against her grain. Her friends are asking for her because we know what she has paid forward for others and we know that she would help anyone in any way she could.
