Inky

When we got home from having Willie's CT scan in Richmond on Wednesday, it was determined by our local vet that our pregnant Mom cat "INKY" was in distress and needed to have an emergency C section. We took her to VVC in Central Park. They kept her comfortable and did x-rays and determine she might have a blockage in her intestine but had No Surgeon to do the surgery. Thursday afternoon we rushed her to Charlottesville VVS where Kevin Stiffler was able to help her. At that time the Babies had all died and he was trying to save the Mom Cat, Inky.. She did have to have a portion of her upper intestine removed (It telescoped previously and didn't cause her problems until the stress of pregnancy with 6 kittens). We are happy to report that she was released from the hospital Saturday morning. This photo is Inky today, Sunday morning.
Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to benefit Cause 4 Paws Locust Grove, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. Willie is another rescue kitten that was attacked by a dog. He lost his eye from the attack and now his jaw has healed in a closed position so he can't eat. He is having surgery June 29 at 7am. Please pray for this sweet 10 week old kitten. We have had 2 emergencies at the same time. Please help us if you can! Thank you!
More information about Cause 4 Paws Locust Grove: We help homeless, abused, and unwanted cats and kittens by providing foster care, veterinary care, and adoption services. We partner with other animal welfare organizations to address the needs of all our feline rescue requests. We are a small home-based organization. All donations go to our rescues. Our goal is to accept all rescue requests. We fully vet (spay/neuter, vaccinate, deworm, FeLk/FIV test, Revolution) and rehome via adoptions. In 2019, we adopted out 355 cats/kittens.
