Helping a friend in need

Hi! My name is Nichole, I am doing this in hopes to help a very close friend and her family. About 4 years ago, my friend, Melissa was diagnosed with cancer. After years of chemo and radiation she found herself with a major life altering decision. She would have to undergo days of surgery, in hopes to be free of this nasty disease. She underwent one day of 12 hour surgery and the next day underwent 28 hours of surgery where doctors worked all night long to make sure her body was free of cancer cells after removing the tumor that came back. During this surgery Melissa lost organs and parts of bone that nobody should ever have to live without, but she did that to be here for her three children. Melissa will be away from her children, her family, and her home for weeks, if not months. Her mother has been in NYC by her side this entire time and will have to start commuting daily just to be there to make sure Melissa is being positive and making sure her babygirl is ok. None of us can imagine what Melissa is going thru, the pain she is feeling, and knowing that she misses her babies and will not be home for Christmas. I’m asking for help with getting her mom there, and any other expenses that come along this long road of recovery. Melissa would go to the end of the world for the people she loves and I think it’s about time we try to return the favor and in hopes of creating this we can all show her family the support they need. Melissa not only will be away from her children, she will be out of work and anything at this point can help her! Thank you for taking the time to read this and please spread the word.
