Join Sam’s Senior Year Journey

Hi, my name is Sam and I’m 17 yrs old. I live on Vancouver Island on the west coast of Canada, and my passion is kiteboarding.

I’ve recently been granted the opportunity of a lifetime. I worked very hard for this and got accepted, with a scholarship, to the World Class Kiteboard Academy, which is a private high school for students who want to earn their education while exploring unique cultures and kite spots around the world. I’m the only Canadian attending full time, and one of only 16 chosen from around the world.

This year, we’ll be traveling to Greece, Brazil, Australia, and Italy. Our day will consist of school in the morning, and kite training in the afternoon. We will also be exploring and learning about each of the places we visit allowing us to be fully immersed in the culture.

This opportunity will let me learn many new things about our world and how to make it a better place. I always strive to be the best person and athlete I can be everyday, but at the same time inspire other people to be their best and chase their dreams no matter how big. I’m super stoked for this opportunity and I want to prove that anything is possible if you believe in yourself and follow your dreams.

While I was able to get a scholarship to cover a large portion of the tuition, I am still responsible for the remainder, plus travel and gear expenses. I’m hoping my story will inspire you to support my journey. I appreciate any contribution you can make.
