UPDATE JULY 10: Thank you again to everyone for donating. The support everyone has shown is so humbling. My heart is still broken, and will be for a long time, but everyone's outpouring of love is helping so much.
Some of the big items I'm hoping to replace are:
-my DSLR camera
-my bed and other furniture
-my hiking equipment like boots, poles, and backpack

Today was, without a doubt, the worst day of my life.
An electrical fire started in my apartment this morning. I lost most of what I own. My clothes, my books, my furniture, all my hiking stuff. It's mostly all gone.
The worst thing I lost, though, is my cat Rhubarb and my boyfriend Cory's cat Conway. If you knew them, you loved them. They were the best cats.
I know you can't send money to heal my heart, but if you can spare anything at all so I can get back on my feet, that would be amazing. The police estimated that I lost about $4,000 in damages. I've already received so much support and it's hard for me to ask for help, but I really, really need it.
