Daltons Recovery

 Tuesday Dalton was involved in a motorcycle accident. He separated his jaw, had a deep gash in his cheek, 3rd degree burns on his left arm, a deep broken radius in his right arm, some 2nd degree burns and a ton of road rash on the lower half of his body.

Dalton had surgery on Wednesday to get the gash on his face stitched up and to get his jaw put back together. His jaw is now wired shut for 6-8 weeks and he will need to drink Ensure and other protein shakes until his jaw is healed.

We are sitting in Pre-Op right now waiting on him to be taken into surgery again to fix his hand and wrist, and also restitch his face as his stitches busted open. 

I met with the director of his school yesterday and they notified me that he is getting dropped from school. He was in an 18 month program for welding and was suppose to graduate in December. He was getting $1,300+ a month in BAH which is housing assistance from the VA. Now that he is dropped, we will be missing $1,300 that helped pay our mortgage.
