Hello all,

My name is Sally Radwan, a friend of the Alsolmi family. Zaid Alsolmi was sent here from Saudi Arabia on a medical sponsorship. He is being seen at Cedar Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. After a few months of treatments, Zaid's health started to decline, and he was quickly placed on dialysis. He is doing dialysis treatments and waiting for his heart and kidney transplant. He has no health insurance or money for housing and food. After the Saudi Arabian embassy sent him to Los Angeles, California, they cut off his sponsorship despite quickly declining health conditions. Zaid is currently listed on the heart and kidney transplant waitlist at Cedars-Sinai hospital in LA. He is constantly undergoing dialysis three times a week as he waits for his match. He is also being treated at Cedars-Sinai's heart and kidney clinic.

Below is a letter written by his physician at the hospital.

The letter writes:

To Whom It May Concern,

Mr. Zaid Alsolmi (DOB 1/29/88) is currently listed on both our heart and kidney transplant waitlists. As he waits for a match, it is necessary for him to be assessed in both heart and kidney clinic on a routine basis--currently monthly. The time spent waiting for an appropriate organ to become available varies; As Mr. Alsolmi also has a blood type that makes it difficult to find a match, his wait time may be even longer. When suitable organs become available, transplantation will be performed at our medical center. Additionally, Mr. Alsolmi now requires dialysis 3 times a week.

Due to his current health condition, he should continue to stay in the United States while waiting for transplant. It is also advisable for his parents to remain close to act as his caregivers if his condition declines.

Please keep in mind that the average heart transplant is around 1.5 million dollars, and even with insurance, the cost is still a large sum. Any and all donations will help Zaid overcome this financial obstacle and allow him to go back to his home.

Zaid is only 34 years old and the only child of his parents. His parents spend most of their nights praying for a longer life for their only son. They feel as though they have been wrongfully done by the Saudi Arabian embassy, as they have taken them away from their home without any support. Zaid is a man who is full of life; he cares for everyone and everything very deeply. He is respectful and has always treated everyone with all respect. Anyone that has met him will agree that this man has a bright future ahead of him. He deserves a chance at life.

We are seeking help to pay for Zaid's insurance from Blue Cross, his housing cost, and to pay any deductibles for him to continue to seek treatment until a match is found. He is already placed on a transplant list, and doctors hope a match will be found soon. Please help me help this young man fight to survive and get all the medical attention he needs. Anything will help save this man's life!

مساعدة زيد السلمي في الحصول علي قلب و كليه.

إسمي سالي رضوان و أنا صديقة زيد السلمي و عائلته.

زيد أرسل إلي لوس انجلوس علي حساب وزارة الداخليه السعودية، و تتم متابعته حاليا في مستشفى Ciders Sinai. و بعد بضعة أشهر من العلاج بدأت حالته الصحيه تتدهور و أصبح يخضع لغسيل الكلي ثلاث مرات في الأسبوع و هو حاليا ينتظر زراعة قلب و كليه يتابع مواعيده مع الأطباء بدون مصاريف معيشه او مصاريف للسكن أو للتأمين الصحي حيث أنه قد ام قطع الرعاية عنه من قبل وزارة الداخليه.

"إلي من يهمه الأمر

السيد زيد السلمي موضوع في قائمتي زراعة القلب و الكلي. خلال فترة انتظاره، من الضروري ان تتم متابعته من قبل عيادتي القلب و الكلي بشكل مستمر- الخطه الحاليه هي المتابعه الشهريه.

و تختلف فترة انتظاره نظرا لصعوبة فئة دمه، و قد تكون طويله. عند العثور علي الاعضاء المناسبه سوف تتم الزراعة له في مستشفانا. يتم للسيد السلمي غسيل كلي ٣ مرات في الأسبوع

و نظرا لوضعه الصحي، يجب عليه البقاء في الولايات المتحده خلال فترة انتظار الزراعه. و ينصح بشده بقاء أهله معه لرعايته صحيا."

يرجي الأخذ بعين الاعتبار أن قيمة عملية زراعة القلب تكلف حوالي 1.5 مليون دولار. و حتي مع وجود التأمين ستضل التكلفه كبيره.

جميع التبرعات ستساعد زيد و عائلته في التغلب علي هذه الأزمه الماليه و تساعدهم في العوده إلي ديارهم.

زيد يبلغ من العمر 34 عاما فقط و هو الابن الوحيد لدي أهله، الذين يقضون معظم لياليهم في الدعاء له حيث أنهم يشعرون أن الحكومه قد إرتكبت خطأ في أخذهم من ديارهم دون أي دعم ثابت.
