Welsh three peaks challenge
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ava Randall and I will be doing the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge to help raise funds for a three-week, marine conservation expedition to Thailand in the summer of 2024.
Whilst in Thailand I will be visiting the coral reefs of Koh Toa which are so important to our planet. Not only being incredibly diverse with species which rely on the reefs for their survival, coral reefs also offer storm protection to the people who live near, incomes for locals and food and medicine for everyone. I will be assisting in research and carrying out coral reef restoration projects. The work taking place on the reef is vital and I hope to be a part of it
The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge is made up of three of the highest and most iconic mountains in Wales: Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Wales’ tallest peak and the highest point in Britain outside the Scottish highlands; Cader Idris, a spectacular peak at the southerly edge of Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park; and Pen y Fan, the highest peak in the Brecon Beacons National Park in South Wales.
On the 4th of September, I will be setting off with a group of friends to reach the summit of each of the mountains in less than 24hrs.
I would appreciate any sponsorship you can offer me to help me get one step closer to Thailand! :)
