A Supportive Bed for Awilda

As our family and friends all know by now, my dear sister Awilda has been diagnosed with cancer for the second time around. This time, the cancer returned in her bones. Awilda has been through many different types of chemotherapy within the last year, and it has taken a toll on her body. Because of the location of the tumors, she suffers from constant back pain, making it difficult for her to get comfortable in her bed. I believe that if she had a special bed, it would relieve some of her back pain, allow her to sleep better, and help her to feel better overall.

I’ve set up this site because Awilda needs a bed with a remote-control base very similar to a hospital bed. The base and the mattress are very expensive, but Awilda and I found one on sale for about half the usual price. I would love to buy this bed for my dear Awilda, and so I am hoping to raise money to purchase it. My family and I would appreciate any amount you are able to donate to the effort.
