Please Help The Jones Family

On Monday, October 17th Jessica fell sick at work and was throwing up. She came home and just wanted to lay down and break her fever on her own. She did not want to go in yet. She slept and slept some more. On Wednesday, October 19th Jessica was lethargic and confused, with a high fever, and had some labored breathing. Joe and Mandy decided she had to be seen ASAP and Joe took her to the ER. Once at the ER Jessica almost immediately went into cardiac arrest. ER personnel at CMC performed life saving measures for 10 minutes, and by some miracle they got her back!! She was intubated and then airlifted to Abbott Hospital, where she is currently receiving care in their cardiovascular ICU. Jessica is currently in a coma due to the intense trauma on her body. Doctors from all specialties including Neurology, Nephrology, Hematology, Endocrinology, and Cardiology are working tirelessly to find the cause of Jessica's sudden illness. All tests that have been ran thus far have been inconclusive.

They did discover that Jessica has developed Autoimmune Thyroiditis sometime in the last year, which had not been previously diagnosed by her doctors, so she had not been receiving the proper treatment. For now the doctors are replacing nutrients that she has been lacking and continuing to run tests. Jessica's brain function is their main concern at this time since she is in a coma. Monitoring her brain has noted some improvements, but only time will tell.

During this difficult and uncertain time in their lives, Joe is unable to work, as he needs to be by Jessica's side as much as possible. Joe is an amazing fiance and father and is doing the best he can to balance being there for Jessica, the love of his life, and caring for his beautiful daughters, Josaphine and June. Joe's family is his entire world and he is doing everything he can for all of them.
