FUZE presents FUZE 2021 in aid of Black South West Network and Art Refuge
The UK's largest student-run collective of creatives. Bringing you events, editorials, workshops & our annual spring show. With over 130+ creatives involved. We aim to create a community of people who strive for core values of inclusivity, diversity and creativity. Although we cannot do this alone we need YOUR help to fundraise for our show in aid of our chosen charities.
FUZE exists for two purposes:
FUNDRAISE: the show generates profits which are divided between our two charities. Using our platform throughout the year to spread awareness about each charity's work.
INNOVATE: We develop a community of creatives providing an opportunity for students to be both: accepted and develop their talents; on a unique professional platform.
We are embarking on a brand new fundraising endeavour by partnering with two charities; Black South West Network (BSWN) and Art Refuge.
All the profits from FUZE 2021 will go to Black South West Network (BSWN) and Art Refuge.
BSWN is a BAME led organisation that delivers race equality work through a huge variety of projects. We believe we should support this charity because of how communities of colour have suffered during the coronavirus pandemic and the long standing injustices that have been illuminated by the George Floyd protests.
Art Refuge uses art and therapy to support the mental health and well-being of people displaced due to conflict, persecution and poverty. The charity has a team of artists and art therapists, equipped to deliver healing programmes. We want to support Art Refuge because they conduct immensely important and necessary work to a growing population of people in Bristol that have been negatively affected.
Why we need your support?
We are directly supporting two charities which are both topical, and are in need of support post the Corona Virus pandemic. The greater reach we gain, the larger the potential profit. Not only does FUZE have positive impacts on the students, but also on small businesses and the charities recipients. From the individuals who work behind the scenes are setting up to be key individuals to watch from their innovation and determination to defy the odds: of rehearsals with social distancing, diversity within performance arts and finding sponsors which are not limited in cash flow.
Funds will go towards:
1. Venue hire costs and rehearsal space
2. Technical hire costs and insurance
3. Marketing and product placement
4. Website hosting and online promotion
5. Insurance, postage, and collection of fashion samples
FUZE 2021 has doubled down on its effort to secure sponsorship ensuring that all aspects this year are bigger and better. A larger budget means the promotion of more marketing materials that include sponsorship logos and it means the end show is bigger than any previous. This results in more brand exposure and effect than ever before.
The show begins with our Marketplace event, where we facilitate product placement and the promotion of many businesses from large companies such as Red Bull and smaller Bristol-based businesses such as Mrs Potts Chocolate House. The audience can talk to and buy from any of the companies presented in the marketplace.
Once the show commences it showcases a mixture of fashion, dance and music all on one stage. This year we have made a commitment to avoid all fast-fashion on our runway, we are constantly trying to find new ways to make FUZE as environmentally and socially conscious as possible. During the interval the audience will have another opportunity to interact with the marketplace. The second half of the show will occur, after which audience members are invited to attend the afterparty.
Thank you to everyone for their continued support, we are very grateful for all donations, little or large! Without it, we wouldn't be able to create events that showcase our talented Dancers, Musicians, and Model's hard work over the year. We hope to see you at our show this year, please follow us on social media for updates on how to get involved.
