Help Tim Battle Cancer!

My name is Christina, on behalf of my Grandmother Linda we are helping to raise money to help her son Tim battle Cancer. Tim is a devoted father to his 3 sons Timmy, Jesse, Casey, and a loving husband to his wife Heidi who he married in 2011 but has been blessed to be partnered with for close to 33 years. Tim has been a devoted trucker since 2005 and for the past 2+ years has spent his days on the road with his wife by his side.

Tim has been having pain in his chest for over a year and when he went to his doctor he was told he had pulled muscles. Tim continued trucking but on 12/22/2021 his pain became increased and he went to Urgent Care where they began a further workup. In the coming days, Tim completed multiple CT scans, full-body bone scans, and a sternum needle biopsy. Results came back showing 2 masses on his left kidney, mass on his sternum (which is causing deterioration of his bones), 1 "spot" on his ribs, and 3 additional "spots" on his spine. Tim was diagnosed with Clear Cell Kidney Cancer Stage 4 which has unfortunately metastasized to his bones. Tim is anticipated to start IV chemo treatment once approved by insurance. Treatments will also include an oral medication and overall pain management. Further treatments could include radiation should pain become unmanageable.

As mentioned above Tim and his wife Heidi are dedicated refrigerated truckers, hauling frozen and refrigerated food all over the country but most recently staying closer to home. As can be imaged this can present barriers to getting routine healthcare. Also given the pandemic they were committed to doing their part in ensuring food made it to local grocery stores. Currently, Tim has applied for social security but they were told payments may take till summer to receive if approved. Tim is unable to currently continue his trucking business and that leaves his family without a monthly income. Also given their rural location treatments require a 1 hour round trip drive time. Money received from this fund will go to medical expenses, daily living needs, increased gas needs for treatment trips, and routine bills to ensure their family can continue to live as they are currently.
