Support the Lowry Family in Their Time of Need

Donation protected
2024 has been a recurring nightmare for the Lowry’s. Back in May, when our dad passed, unbeknownst to us, our mom was experiencing some serious health issues of her own. I see now, as any mother would, she was trying to protect her children, and she wasn’t very forthcoming with what was going on. We were aware that she had some complications from a rare cancer called multiple myeloma. She was managing the symptoms well, and doctors took an aggressive approach that eventually led to her being in remission for some time.

Back in early September, she began to experience symptoms that she hadn’t before, and during a routine checkup, was given the worst news possible. Another cancer had attacked her abdomen and had spread very rapidly. She was diagnosed with peritoneal carcinoma and quickly became very sick and struggled to manage her symptoms. This past Monday, Tim and I received a frantic phone call from her doctor asking us for guidance in how to treat her because she was barely hanging on and we had to make decisions on her behalf. Naturally, we requested that they do whatever they could to stabilize her so we could get down to Virginia to see her and spend as much time as we could. She has since been placed in hospice care and is declining quickly. We were able to spend this past week with her, and for that, I will forever be grateful.

We just returned to NY late last night, and I can’t begin to explain the absolute whirlwind of emotions we have experienced over this past week. Tim and I are doing the best we can to navigate this, but we could use some help. Unfortunately, she doesn’t have a life insurance policy, and trying to make sure all her affairs are in order has been very difficult. We want to make sure that she gets the best care possible now, and when her time comes, we want to know that she gets the service she deserves. Anything that you can do to help would be greatly appreciated. We can use all the prayers we can at the moment. Thank you
