It really takes a village
Donation protected
I am a committed single mother of two boys, Marley, 8 and Lucas, 10. I recently found out that I have a BRCA 2 mutated gene and I need to undergo a prophylactic double mastectomy. I have an 89% chance of getting breast cancer. Although I am super blessed to be gainfully employed and well insured, they are so many other costs related to this surgery and an upcoming move that I have contemplated reaching out for help for quite some time now. Simply put, insurance does not cover everything. Unfortunately, being the 1st generation in my family to graduate from college and make a modest salary places an unexpected burden on me to have everything together.
Once I graduated and secured a better paying employer, I thought that I was finally on the road to do better and be better for my family. This unexpected news of the gene mutation has set me back drastically. If you can please contribute to my cause in any way possible, My boys and I would be eternally grateful.
*****Update*****
I am filled with gratitude for all of the generosity and support! Thank you from the bottom of my heart! I would not be able to do this without this help. I would not be able to do this without my village!
My surgery date is set for Sept. 19th! Donations will be used for co-insurance, co-pays, a new bed, essentials for my hospital stay and recovery. I appreciate any and all contributions regardless of how small, it all helps.
Please feel free to share as well!
May God Bless you all! <3
